SPECIAL WOMEN!

ALL women are special, in my opinion, but we are all, to some extent, marginalized. And if women are marginalized, then women addicts are even more marginalized ... and so, if you are a black lesbian woman addict .... well, you get the picture! I know it's not 'politically correct' these days to declare that anyone is a 'victim,' but in the world of addiction and addiction services, that marginalization runs the gamut from individual racist acts to systemic exclusion. The following groups of women addicts are ignored, misrepresented, and/or under-served...
